For the first dance, both couples were given the fantastic Stevie Wonder song “Sir Duke,” and told to do with it what they pleased. Both decided on the samba.
Emmitt and Cheryl: Just when I thought Emmitt’s shiny green shirt was the best part of this performance, he gave the finest finish of the season by doing some sort of indescribable, funked-up sidestep. Score: Three tens!
Mario and Karina: The former A.C. Slater knows what his fans like — he kept that smile plastered on his face, making perfect dimples the entire time. And he even did a little grindin’ at the end. The kid’s learning a little from Emmitt, I do believe. Score: 29
