The crowd could barely contain its excitement at the beginning of Dancing With the Stars, even when Tom Bergeron and Samantha Harris were trying to deliver their cheesed-out intro copy. Looks like there'll be three dances from each finalist -- a repeat of a favorite past performance, a dance-off to the same song and -- the part I'm looking forward to most -- a freestyle. I could do with less of (1) the clips from past shows and (2) the footage of Mario and Karina pretending to hide their romance. Yeah, I said pretending. More to come after the first couple of rounds.
