Since Skin's on the Zune tip, it's probably worth mentioning that today's the first day Microsoft's music player is on sale. So far, it seems, only a few folks have gotten Zune fever. We'll see if all those marketing dollars eventually help Microsoft challenge the iPod's dominance.
I got a couple of Zunes in the mail yesterday, on loan from Microsoft, and my buddy Victor Godinez and I spent all morning wirelessly sending songs and photos to each other. Because we're dorks.
I'll have a full review in the paper later this week, but here's my early take: No vast improvement over the iPod, but a couple of nice touches -- the bigger screen, the radio tuner -- make it worth your consideration if you're in the market.
