Downtown Dallas gets a new restaurant tonight, a lovely thing since we have lost a few in that area recently. It's Luqa at 1217 Main St., a fancy-pants place with a two-story wine tower, rooftop garden, water feature and the chichi Petrus Lounge.
Dallas native and chef David Gilbert will be serving up the fare, which promises to blend "global aspects and avant-garde innovations," whatever that means. At the very least, it certainly sounds better than the Lean Cuisine I was planning on eating for dinner.

I live on the second floor..."
