Work started this week on the next section of the Katy Trail's soft-surface trail, right around Lemmon Avenue and Blackburn. I don't know if it's mostly mental, but the soft surface that's in place north of Knox seems to make running a little more bearable! Crews started installing landscaping in the section from Knox to Airline Road as well.
All the construction might be bothersome now, but it should help the Trail compete with White Rock Lake as the city's top running destination.
