I don’t quite understand this sudden rumor mill obsession to trade Devin Harris (above). Harris isn’t the prototypical point guard, but he’s starting to grow into something for the Mavericks.

On a team that says its No. 1 objective this off-season is to find an offensive threat to take some pressure off Dirk Nowitzki, trading the ONLY player on the Mavs that takes the ball to the basket on a consistent basis would be a mistake. Not to mention, that he’s one of the best defenders at the position in the league (and is finally earning a “little” respect from the refs, who have pretty much given him none his first couple years).

Hopefully, I won’t wake up tomorrow and find out Harris is gone. If I do, it will be a sad day.
