World Wrestling Entertainment on Thursday suspended 10 of its wrestlers for violations of a policy that tests for steroids and other drugs. Hopefully this will restore competitive balance in the ring and integrity to the sport.
I hate to see this happening, but it's absolutely necessary. It reminds me of NASCARs extreme safety rules since Earnhardt died. Something has to be done about it before many more die. I don't want to see another Earnhardt die ,nor my favorite wrestler. I really think whats going on is, wrestlers think they will not maintain their superstar status ,or gain one if they walk out there,"the regular guy." I remember every time Chris benoit walked out I thought ,"Dayum thats a big bastard!, he's short,but he aint playin!" To me he was a true superstar. Who knew that he was going to do what he did? Now he is as respected as Sadam, as he understandibly should be for snuffing out his little boy and wifes life, but due to the effects of steroids. It's not worth it.
The guy that goes to the gym and busts his ass should be the example and the rest should follow, or be fired.
