Got in the mail this morning a reminder for all you polka lovers: The National Accordion Association's convention starts March 13 at the Richardson Hotel (now the Hyatt) in Richardson.

Topics to be covered include:

• Playing the accordion with feeling


• A primer on hand anatomy, function and disorders


• Building a successful accordion club

There will also be some seriously good music, with a performance by Brave Combo March 14.

But be warned. This from the convention brochure: "This will be an 'action-packed' convention. Do your resting BEFORE and AFTER the convention."
