The New York Times today said that it had identified the high-priced call girl whose Feb. 13 tryst with New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer led to his resignation. The woman, identified as "Kristen" in court documents, is reportedly a 22-year-old aspiring musician named Ashley Alexandra Dupre. "I just don't want to be thought of as a monster," Dupre told the Times. "This has been a very difficult time. It's complicated."

The student, Michael Sheridan, was class vice president, but not anymore. His title was stripped, he was suspended one day and now he's probably suffering from hypoglycemia.
C'mon, everybody! Eat a bag of Skittles for Michael! Woooooo!
Dave Stevens, the creator of The Rocketeer, died this week. This was one of the more obscure comic books to be made into a big-budget movie. Comics writer Mark Evanier has posted a fine obituary.
Justice League International: The first seven issues of one of my favorite 1980s series have been reissued in a hardcover collection. In 1987, DC recovered from the Justice League's much-maligned "Detroit Era" by giving the team a global scope along with a sense of humor.
The Lone Ranger and Tonto #1: I haven't checked out the wildly popular Lone Ranger series, but this one-shot is being billed a great jumping-on point for new readers.
